Jeremiah 5:10-12

¹⁰ Ascend to her vineyards and ravage them
    but do not totally destroy them.
Strip off her branches,
    for these people no longer belong to the Lord.
¹¹ Both the house of Israel and the house of Judah
    have been completely unfaithful to me, says the Lord.
¹² They have denied the Lord,
    boldly asserting, “He will do nothing.
No harm will come to us;
    we will not endure either sword or famine.
